选校择专业，对于高考和考研，是每位考生所关注的问题，那么我们如何选择一个适合自己的专业呢?

四．“热门”专业并不适宜所有人

相信很多考生在选择专业时，都会考虑到该专业今后的发展前景。因为没有人会希望三年的研究生生活之后，“毕业意味着失业”。据统计，为了有更好的职业前景而选择考研的学生占到60%以上。但是，很多考生把“热门专业”理解成“好就业专业”，这样就导致一些专业竞争激烈，而另一些专业无人问津。是不是报考“热门”就等于就业“热门”、报考“无人”就等于就业“没门”呢?恐怕不能一概而论。这是因为：一方面，从心理学来说，很多人考研容易有从众心理，看到考研的人多了，自己也决定考研，看到考金融、法律的人多了，就认定这就是“热门”。另一方面，媒体从新闻报道的角度出发，自然对一些报考人数较多的专业给予更多关注，使考生和家长们产生了“热门”专业必定好就业的错觉。

随着考研竞争激烈程度的逐年加大，考生会倾向于考虑专业选择与提高考研成功率之间的关联程度。然而，如果一味选择“热门”专业，势必会遭遇异常激烈的竞争，成功率将会大大降低;如果“委曲求全”，规避风险，选择相对易考但却不感兴趣的专业，那么将会在学习期间遭遇学业困难，从而影响以后的就业。
